Dorothy and Tony's all started with a secret family recipe for kettle corn, created by Grandma and Grandpa Myers (Dorothy and Tony). They shared their delightfully sweet and salty creation with a loyal, ever expanding community of customers at farmers' markets in both Michigan and Arizona.
Following their success at farmers' markets, in 2010, Dorothy and Tony's decided to open its first brick and mortar shop on Plainfield Avenue in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Their grandchildren became more involved in the family business, helping the business to flourish. In 2013, the shop moved to the vibrant Grand Rapids Downtown Market.
In 2024, the family decided it was time to pass the torch to a new owner - a French chef who they knew would carry on the family's tradition of quality and care. Chef Jean-Gabriel (Gaby) Ducourtial is pleased to continue Dorothy and Tony's legacy, bringing joy to people through food. He hopes to keep the tradition alive and one day pass this family business on to his own children.
